2015 - A New Day, A New Trip!

Welcome back! We left our house secured and closed and even remembered to turn off the hot water heater. This begins the new trip for 2015. Most of you know this isn't our first trip for the year, but it is the first FUN trip for the year.

We are on the way back to...Yellowstone National Park. (YNP) The real trick this year will to be to find some new hikes and different pictures to post. But hey, if it's a picture taken this year, then it's a new picture right?

Day 1 - We left home at 11:00 and drove into Dunnellon. Slow start to be sure! I ran into the PO and then we went into Beall's Outlet to look at bathsuits. Exciting so far, yeah. Bob found what he wanted and I didn't so we bought his and went to...wait for it...Walmart! To their credit, they have the cheapest gas for diesel in a 30 mile radius. So we gassed up. Then we went into the store and bought a few last items for the trip and finally grabbed lunch at the Subway that is inside the store. Oh is this exciting already or what?

Okay, on the road at noon. We made it to Chipley, FL. 5.5 easy hours of driving and we're done. That's a nice way to start. My idea of a good hotel is safety, pool and/or work-out room, good internet, A/C and clean room. Bob likes inexpensive (cheap), good internet, A/C, clean and safe. I got 3 for 5, Bob got 2 for 4. No pool, internet is good if you walk up and sit in the office. So I compromised. Only reason is tomorrow will be super nice. Check back to get the details! And yes, it rained on us off and on all afternoon. It's been a wet July and start to August. We are excited to leave the super humid air for a month or two.
